2019 was a good year for us. We just said this morning that this was the best year we had so far together. I want to sum the year up and reflect on what was important and extra special for me.
I am going to start with work because it takes up a huge chunk of my time and it is something that I take a lot of pride in. My job is not only my livelihood, it is a big passion of mine and within our company we treat each other like family. Never have I grown this much before in my career and I really feel like home in our brand. I am market manager for NY and CT and been on board with Cödigo 1530 Tequila since the beginning. We are now in all 50 states, more than 20 countries and currently the fastest growing tequila in the world. Through work I get to see a lot of amazing places and meet super cool people!

I used to have a fear of speaking in front of a crowd but this year I have grown in to the role and now I actually enjoy it! I still have some learning to do though. I lean too much on power point presentation and I rush through it. But at least I am not nervous anymore. That was a big step for me.
I bought a brand new car!!! I spend a lot of time in my KIA Sportage and I truly love my car. Even if I won a billion dollars I wouldn't buy a different car!
I find it sooo frustrating with false advertisement. On the picture to the left is the coat I thought I bought. A really nice long and fluffy faux fur. What I received in the mail 3 months later is the picture to the right. I was soooo upset and this Chinese company refused to refund me or do anything to correct this. Lesson learned. I only trust Amazon these days...
We started a new tradition to go on a family vacation every year! Both of our families together and this year we all met in Florida! I rented an airbnb that fit all of us and we had a blast!
We rented this van that fit all of us swedes but to and from the airport it was a bit tight with all the luggage!
One night we went out in Miami. Drinks at Faena and dinner at Bagatelle!
We went to Atlanta to visit my mother in law and her husband. Brenda loves to play games and so do we!
I got the idea that I was bored with being blonde and decided to go dark. That was a mistake that cost me half of my hair and 100% of the quality. even Cash is looking at mommy like: What are you doing??
Now I am growing out my natural hair color and will just leave my hair alone to give it a chance to recover. My goal is to be something like the picture below. Keep the blonde in the ends but fully grown out my natural color. Maybe not that long but you get the idea..
Most of you don't know that I am actually pretty good at cutting hair (while talking about hair) I even cut my ow hair sometimes!
I leased a horse on part-time, his name was "Saturday" and I do miss him. I just don't have the time for it right now.. One day I would like to buy a new horse....
The toughest thing to deal with this year has been my health struggles. At the end of 2018 I was very very sick. I have never been that sick in my entire life. I couldn't eat anything for 10 days and I just kept on vomiting. My stomach has been hurting a lot and not functioning normal. I never got better and I eventually went to the doctor. I have been diagnosed with IBS, Gastritis and on top of that I also had a parasite called "Giardia". It is very rare and I hope I never ever get it again. The parasite was treated months ago with very strong antibiotics but I still live with IBS and Gastritis. That is not going anywhere and I am on several prescription drugs to be able to live a normal life. I have done all tests possible (still have a few to go). Done both colonoscopy and endoscopy and thank god they put you to sleep here in the states. In Sweden you have to do it awake. IBS and Gastritis is stress-related deceases and I have been working a lot with myself to learn how to deal with stress in a different way. I always put a lot of pressure on myself and I take everything personal. On the picture below you can see how skinny I was after those 10 days. My guess is that I lost 10 lbs.
Do not take your health for granted!
We love our house and I really enjoy decorating! I like my home to be warm and cozy and I prefer earthy tones as you can see.
We finished our basement and turned it in to a movie theatre. All chairs in the sofa reclines and we invested in a really big TV and a SONOS sound system. The entire house vibrates from the base:-)
Scary movie night!
I have grown in to be a very domestic woman and I find so much joy in taking care of our household. Cooking is a huge passion of mine and I much rather stay in and invite friends over than go out. That is the opposite of who I was 15 years ago!
We went to Sweden together for the first time. This trip meant soo much to me, I will never forget these weeks!
As a surprise for my husband I had arranged for his mom and step-dad to ring on the door bell. That was a great idea and we enjoyed a vacation together in my hometown Söderköping!
We also went to Stockholm 1 night to see Kika one of my absolute best friends and do some sightseeing.
The yellow house is where I grew up. It sits on top of a mountain and my goal is to buy it back one day. That is on the very top of my bucket list!
On the picture below you can see my sister Anna (who I have missed very much) with Cash, Flow and Amex.
Another memory from this past year was my short trip to Denmark. I went there to meet with a new distributor and the funny thing is that I was very lucky to get to my meeting on time. I had by mistake got on the wrong train and it was completly empty. It took me direct to Malmö (where I was going) but no conductor ever showed up. When I got off the train I realized it was not in traffic. How lucky was I to end up in Malmö anyway!??
Our dog Flow got very sick and we almost lost her. She had an infected uterus and it was about to break. Thank God I was home and could handle the situation and save her life. I was devestated!
I spend a lot of time in The Hamptons every summer! Love it out there!
We went to Dominican Republic for a wedding. I would love to go back here!!!
I got sun poisoning on my lip and looked funny LOL. It was very painful!
One of our fav spots this summer was The Williamsburg Hotel Rooftop Pool. We had some great times here over the summer!
A friend of ours has a really nice boat and we are lucky enough to be invited on board!
Lunch at Dureyas Lobster Deck in The Hamptons!
Another friend of ours rented a big sailboat for a day and we got invited! This was my fav day in The Hamptons 2019!
My safe place
I am such a chicken when it comes to jumping in to cold water. This prcess took about 20 min LOL
Cash. I feel like she deserved a chapter of her own because she gives us so much joy and happiness when she is here in NYC. Words can not express the love I have for our dogs!
Food and cooking is def one of my hobbies!
Afternoon tea at Williamsburg Hotel
I love my friends! When you live abroad and don't have your family, friends are extra important!
This is a monther and daughter duo. Can you believe it!? They look like sisters!
I have to say that we are pretty good at creating special moments. We set time aside for each other and schedule date nights. That is something we def will continue to do!
My mom and my God mother visited me. I wish I could have them here every week!
I discovered Goat Yoga!!!! I can not wait to go back in the spring!
I changed my status from employment Visa to Green Card!

Ambitions for 2020:
I am starting my year with a trip to Mexico. Leaving Sunday to our distillery in Amatitan and 2 days later I am meeting the rest of the Còdigo family in Cabo!
This spring we are going to work on our backyard. It is a big project and we have already started with a new pergola. I am hoping for some help from my mom to plant some flowers, plants and veggies. Maybe some strawberries too!
But most importantly I need to. take better care of myself and get used to living with stomach and colon sickness.
